Calder was born and raised in Leelanau County and transplanted to Detroit in 2007. He currently resides in the city with his partner and four fuzzy rescue animals (more, on occasion, as they are prone to impulsive fostering of street creatures). When not seeing patients and running the practice, you might observe Calder at St. Andrews Hall for a concert or Comerica Park watching his beloved Tigers lose yet another game. He and his wife also spend as much time as possible traveling and being with their siblings, parents, and little nieces and nephew.
